Published Employability Performance Ratings

  • Employability Performance Ratings are published on the London Skills and Employment Observatory website.
  • June 2011: The London Development Agency and London Councils published 2010/2011 employability performance ratings for 46 lead grant holders and their 41 subgrantees.
  • December 2011: The London Development Agency and Greater London Authority published 2011/2012 six month stock take employability performance ratings for 22 lead grant holders and 48 of their subgrantees.

What is the performance rating?

An employability performance rating has been developed that builds on the Skills Funding Agency's Framework for Excellence and DWP's Star Ratings, but has been adapted for use by Local Authority and Charity funded providers of worklessness services.

  • Further versions of the Performance Rating Calculator are avaialable for contracts that a) do not have diversity targets, b) do not have gender targets, and c) do not have start targets. Please contact sarahwilkins@london.gov.uk if you require these.

Future:

  • 87 London employment and skills grants were performance rated in 2010/11.
  • London Councils introduced use of the Performance Rating with its ESF grants in October 2010.
  • The National Offenders Management Service (NOMS) will use the Performance Rating with its London 2011/13 ESF grants.
  • West London Working has recommended that the Work Programme Prime Contractors uses the Performance rating with its supply chain.
  • The benefits of the performance rating are being disseminated across London and the UK.
